Andrew Copenhagen, a blond wire haired dachshund and published author of his autobiography "MY NAME IS ANDY BUT! YOU! MAY CALL ME ANDREW", celebrated his 100th birthday in grand style, on May 18th 2003. His Guest List included two fellow dachshunds, and numerous two-legged attendees, all anxious to see how the celebrated author, known for his normally cantankerous behavior, would fit into a setting which featured him as the star. Not wanting to disappoint anyone, he behaved as expected since the only thing on his mind was a home made chocolate cake in the shape of a bone. Andy, is a confessed chocoholic who has chosen not to do anything about his problem, including LICKING IT! The party was a fund raiser for Dachshund Adoption and Rescue, a non-profit organization that saves numerous dachshunds in the State of Florida in an attempt to help them get their lives back together and move on. "After all", barks Andrew, "the way I behave there is little separating me from them". The party was a howling success.
